Austin Yoga Teachers present: 2014 Austin Free Day of Yoga, September 1st
For the 16th year, Austin yoga teachers and studios have united to bring Austin and neighboring communities free yoga classes all day Labor Day, to heighten awareness of the benefits of yoga. Austin-ites have the opportunity to try yoga, meet instructors, and experience different styles of yoga for free at yoga and dance studios, hospitals, parks, churches, and fitness centers throughout the city.
Free Day of Yoga organizers encourage people who have never tried yoga to take their first class; people who have studied yoga may take this opportunity to try a different style or a new instructor. “The Free Day of Yoga is our way of saying thank you to our community for supporting us in our quest to expand the awareness of this ancient practice,” says organizer Mary Esther. “Because we offer such a wide variety of yoga teachers, styles and classes on Free Day of Yoga, there is a class for everyone – whether you are tall, short, round, thin, physically active or sedentary.”

MAID MARIAN IN A STOLEN CAR : ZACH THEATER
Maid Marian In A Stolen Car is a comedy about life, and the moments that may not be funny while they happen to you, but are hysterical when someone else can observe them. Some of the best stories come about when everything goes wrong. Some of my funniest and greatest moments of theatre are notorious disasters that everyone has experienced in one way or another,” says Jaston Williams.
“Jaston is the funniest storyteller in Texas. He does a wonderful job of capturing the small details of his characters. Whether recounting the hysterical nuances of Texas families or the funniest, best and most tender moments of living a life on stage – his skill is tremendous,” says Dave Steakley, Producing Artistic Director at ZACH Theatre.

Held in Utopia, Texas in the gorgeously serene Texas Hill Country, UTOPiAfest provides music lovers with an ideal festival experience unlike any other. Since beginning five years ago, UTOPiAfest has prided itself as a music festival where you will not find large crowds, expensive food and drinks, invasive security, and abbreviated, overlapping sets that often cause you to miss out on your favorite artist. Here is what you CAN expect to find at UTOPiAfest:
- BYOB! Yes, that’s right. Not only can festival-goers bring their own alcoholic beverages, they can even bring a cooler right up to the stage. Long lines and $10 beers simply don’t exist at UTOPiAfest.
- No musical overlap! With two stages going each day and night there are never two bands playing at the same time, meaning music lovers don’t have to miss a single act.
- Audience is capped at 2,000! This means there is plenty of space for everyone and each set feels intimate.
- No hidden/extra fees! The price you pay up front includes camping, parking, and all festival activities.

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY
With his unique vision, writer/director Ned Benson ambitiously captures a complete picture of a relationship in the beautifully relatable portrait of love, empathy and truth that is THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY. Once happily married, Conor (McAvoy) and Eleanor (Chastain) suddenly find themselves as strangers longing to understand each other in the wake of tragedy. The film explores the couple’s story as they try to reclaim the life and love they once knew and pick up the pieces of a past that may be too far gone. Screened for the first time at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Benson’s latest version of their story combines his previous two films – titled HIM and HER – uniting their perspectives and taking a further look into the subjectivity of relationships.
