The CW’s newest late-night TV show, ATX Uncensored-ish, wants you to be a part of a television taping at the Spider House Ballroom Monday, August 31 at 9 p.m.
The line-up for ATX Uncensored-ish LIVE is ridiculous: comedians Brian Gaar, Kath Barbadoro, Chris Cubas, Maggie Maye, and Danny Palumbo have all agreed to put their faces on television, but they need you to cheer them on.
We’re recording the show and will air clips every night on The CW Austin (and Saturday nights on NBC). So come out, support your favorite ATX comedians, and maybe get your face on TV, too.
PLUS you’ll also get the first look at our new TV show: ATX Uncensored-ish (we’ve been too nervous to show anyone anything up until now).
Brian Gaar is a comedian and TV host based in Austin. You can catch his hour-long special, “Jokes I Wrote at Work,” on Hulu and watch him daily as the host on The CW Austin’s ATX Uncensored-ish this fall. Brian can be heard on the Raw Dog comedy channel on SiriusXM and he was named one of the funniest people on Twitter by Playboy and Paste magazines.
Kath Barbadoro is an Austin based comedian, writer and TV correspondent. She is a regular performer with Master Pancake Theater and has done standup on just about every festival in town including SXSW, FunFunFun Fest and the Moontower Comedy Festival. Catch her as a correspondent with the The CW Austin’s ATX Uncensored-ish this fall.
Chris Cubas is an Austin favorite. Earlier this year he won Comedy Central’s @midnight, and a couple years ago Comedy Central named him one of their “Comics to Watch.” He also hosts the @CanceledPod podcast. He’s performed at FunFunFun Fest, SXSW, the Moontower Comedy Festival, and the Funny Or Die: Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival.
Maggie Maye is based in Austin, too, and she just got back from New York where she made her late-night debut on Conan. She was also featured in AXS TV presents: Gotham Comedy Live. She’s performed in festivals like the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, FunFunFun Fest, Moontower, SXSW, and the All Jane No Dick Comedy Festival.
Danny Palumbo is the reigning Funniest Person in Austin and one of the regular hosts at Jazz Cigarette. Danny has performed at the Moontower Comedy Festival and can be seen regularly at Cap City Comedy Club.
About ATX Uncensored-ish: ATX Uncensored-ish launches this fall. It is Austin’s only late-night comedy show that is definitely the funniest thing you’ve ever seen. (We mean … hopefully the funniest thing you’ve ever seen). We’re laughing about the crazy s#!t that happens in Central Texas and nobody is safe from our razor-sharp wit. We’ll make fun of everything and everyone except some people and some things. Host Brian Gaar has never been on TV before, so we are pretty much nailing this.
