Put your selfies to good use and participate in Peace Day Austin

Austin, TX  –  Peace Day Austin is asking all Austinites to “Pay Peace Forward” with a peace selfie! The campaign’s goal is to encourage everyone in Austin to celebrate and spread peace. The celebration is in honor of UN International Peace Day with participants from all over the country and world sharing their selfies.

Past year’s participants included: Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo, Actor Jaston Williams, Tapestry Dance, Austin Chronicle Art’s Editor Robert Faires, Dale Watson, Rosie Flores, actors, musicians, dancers, poets, authors, educators along with everyday Austinites.

Joe Barlow kicked things off here at the CW with this bee-autiful selfie:

Want to participate? Snap a selfie flashing the peace sign and share on social media through September 21st. Challenge others to share one, too. Post your peace selfie on social media tagging @PeaceDayAustin and using the #PeaceDayATX #PeaceSelfie #PeaceDay
