Austin comedians compete in ‘Funniest’ documentary

AUSTIN (KXAN/KNVA) — The Austin Film Festival is back.

The next 8 days will feature screenings of over 180 films from around the world.

Funniest is a locally created documentary that will screen twice at the fest.

“We wanted to make a documentary about the Funniest Person in Austin Contest.” says co-director Katie Pengra. “And we basically decided to follow a handful of comics going through the contest and basically know the six months leading up to the contest and how they prepared.”

You can see the film on the big screen on Sunday, October 16 at 9:15pm or Wednesday, October 19 at 9:30pm.
