Evan is the former pitmaster of Freedmen’s, any now he’s striking out on his own, and bringing his creation to the masses. This particular event is Thanksgivng-themed. Some of the menu items will be: Whole Smoked Quail w/ Duck Tamale Stuffing; Turkey Drumsticks; Pumpkin Slaw and Sweet Pickled Brussels Sprouts. There is also be drink specials.
4. Grand opening of St. Elmo Brewery

Two guys who used to help run Austin Beerworks started this brewery in The Yard, a new creative district. The opening event will have live music, screenprinting of exclusive T-shirt designs and a special menu from Sousop, the on-site Asian food truck.

This 11th annual event features a photo booth, carnival inspired games (like a fortune teller), kid-themed games and events, a dough-throwing contest and plenty of food like popcorn, cotton candy and, of course, pizza. Benefiting the Austin Food & Wine Alliance, this sixth annual event is a New Orleans-themed affair at the Star Hill Ranch. There will of course be lots of pork creations from dozens of top restaurants Apis, Odd Duck, Olamaie and Contigo, Aaron Franklin will be making gumbo and they’ll be roasting a whole pig will be cooked inside a full-sized alligator. For an extra $20 you can take a champagne shuttle to the event and back.
