Snakes on a plane, movie or reality?

In 2006, Samuel Jackson starred as a lead role in the popular movie ‘Snakes on a Plane’. When the movie was initially launched, many viewers knew that the possibility of an aircraft carrying snakes was highly impossible. 10 years later and it seems like the movie foreshadowed what happened on Flight 231.

On Sunday, Indalecio Medina, tweeted a video from Aeroméxico Flight 231 from Terron to Mexico City. What was uncommon about this video that went viral is that Medina captured a snake hanging from the gap between the ceiling and the overhead storage compartment.

The video shows a green snake hanging and playing around the overhead storage compartment.

Towards the end of the video, the snake uncoiled itself from its hidden position surprising passengers on Aeroméxico Flight 231.sub-buzz-7624-1478563040-1

Medina spoke to the Associated Press and said “It was a frightening situation, but people remained calm because it didn’t get out of that space and nobody became hysterical,”. “Some people got up to see what kind of reptile it was, but nobody got carried away.”

The airline crew responded quickly to the reptile on the loose and is currently investigating what can be done to prevent more snakes on aircrafts.
