Every year I experience Holiday Confusion. You know what I’m talking about, that bit of confusion when you wake up on Christmas or New Years and find the streets of Austin empty. Holiday Confusion is a term I’ve coined because it is something I go through every year and I’m sure the majority of the population does too.
On very rare occasions will you ever find the city of Austin empty or completely shut down, unless it’s on a holiday. It is always a terrible disappointment when you go to your local grocery store and find it closed due to “holiday hours” and it is even more disappointing trying to figure out what else is closed.
To bring more holiday cheer and avoid any type of let down, here is a solid list of stores and restaurants what will be open during Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years Eve.
And don’t forget, Christmas Eve at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar is a BIG night for many Austinite’s. December 14 – 24, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
